The Charles Schwab Challenge will celebrate its monumental 75th anniversary in 2021; the longest running event on the PGA TOUR that is still held at an original site. Filled with history and tradition, it brings in players and fans from all over the globe to the fine city of Fort Worth.
For the past 9 years, Smallwood Corporate Housing has been hosting players, sponsors, vendors, and fans, and as their 10th year approaches, they are thrilled to house the advance team once again for the 2021 tournament.
Last year’s tournament looked very different to previous years, especially for Smallwood Corporate Housing. No fans meant a far quieter atmosphere, yet they ensured a safe accommodation during the covid-19 pandemic for participants, sponsors, vendors and more.
Now with the news that fans will be allowed back to spectate, Smallwood are once again preparing to welcome players and avid golf fans to their Fort Worth Corporate Housing accommodation, with covid-19 procedures and measures in place to ensure safety and cleanliness at all times.
Here’s everything you need to know about fans being allowed back to watch the Charles Schwab Challenge, and how Smallwood Housing will accommodate the 2021 tournament:
- The Charles Schwab Challenge will take place May 24th – May 30th, 2021
It was announced on Friday that this is the scheduled date for the tournament. It will take place at the Colonial Country Club, Fort Worth, Texas. Despite fans not being allowed to spectate last year, interest was incredibly high as Daniel Berger took home the trophy.
- Ticket availability will be prioritized, but fans will get the chance to purchase limited tickets
This year’s tournament ticket availability will prioritize sponsors, hospitality customers and club members in post covid conditions. The public will also have the chance to purchase a limited number of tickets while maintaining social distancing requirements and wearing masks at all times.
“While we don’t know the final attendance numbers, we do know that we will have spectators and can start selling tickets,” tournament chairman Jim Whitten said in a statement. “We are hopeful of hosting at least 5,000 people each day, Thursday – Sunday. If circumstances allow at a later date, we may be able to increase sales up to 10,000 people per day.”
- Smallwood Corporate Housing will welcome all involved, providing safe environments that follow covid-19 procedures
As a Texas company headquartered in Fort Worth, Smallwood is proud to support the efforts of bringing a healthy business climate back to north Texas after a challenging year. Providing top of the range accommodations in the 75th anniversary celebration of one of the most popular tournaments on the PGA tour, Smallwood Corporate Housing is ready and prepared to support those involved in the tournament, and keep all safe with thorough and rigorous covid-19 procedures.
