Summary: Video Production Company Ranks PDX’s Best Spots
Pacific Northwest based production company, Morrisey Productions, has compiled a list of Portland, Oregon’s 12 best, unique photography and videography locations.
Located in the upper northwest region of the United States, the state of Oregon has rapidly become one of the most sought after states for not only tourists but those looking to relocate. Home to more than half of the states 4.2 million residents, the greater Portland metro area has attracted more newcomers in recent years than ever before. Thanks to the cities diversity and their green, liberal, and overall “weird” attitude, Portland are undoubtedly the most sought after area to live and visit in the state.
Evergreen trees, rolling hills, mountain views, and wide-open landscapes make for some amazing photography and videography spots in and around Portland, Oregon. While the states beauty stretches much farther than the valley, you don’t have to travel far from the Rose City to capture Oregon’s world famous natural beauty. When asked why they decided to compile their favorite spots, Morrisey Video Productions in Portland says “Through our travels, we have photographed and filmed some of the most incredible places in the world and Portland constantly sticks out in terms of diversity in such a small area. While there are many beautiful places to photograph in the state of Oregon, Portland is by far one of our favorites.”
The Portland photography and videography guide mentions some well-known favorites like the Hoyt Arboretum where there are over 12 miles of hiking trails and 2,500 species of trees, but it also suggests some spots that non-locals might not consider. While places like the Pioneer Courthouse Square, the Portland Art Museum and the Portland Saturday Market are not necessarily lesser known than the Hoyt Arboretum, they are places one might not consider some of the areas best photography and videography locations. As always, photograph and video responsibly and check out your chosen locations potential photo, video or drone restrictions. www.morrisey.com.
This is where the magic happens. Once we have a strategy, script, and game plan it’s time to start filming. Our experienced team of videographers use state of the art cameras, drones, gimbals, and audio equipment to capture the essence…
