Fashion Designer Ripley Rader has pivoted her business to make masks to assist with healthcare providers and people needing to wear masks during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ripley Rader is one of more than 30 fashion brands who are helping healthcare works during this critical time whilst also making coronavirus masks stylish.

The Million mask challenge by Rader

Ripley Rader comes highly mentioned in a Forbes article by Kristen Philipkoski with her #millionmaskchallenge where she joins other sewers to contribute and provide important protective equipment to essential workers.

At first it was an initiative to help donate to healthcare workers on the frontlines, especially hospitals who were in need of personal protection as their supply was running low. Then came the requirement from the CDC for all individuals to wear masks in public. These do not compare to N95 masks but they will still keep individuals safe to a certain degree with some protection, and you can still be stylish at the same time.

According to the feature in Forbes magazine, each mask sold for $25, Ripley Rader will donate two to healthcare workers. She started with the #millionmaskchallenge just over two weeks ago, when she personally made 100 masks in 2 days in order to support those working on the front lines. Now she is running the Look Good Do Good campaign.

Ripley Radar Collections

Ripley Radar may be well known for her great contribution to the front-line workers during this global pandemic, but the fashion designer also has some wonderful collections available right now from cool cropped pants to sophisticated jumpsuits for women (https://ripleyrader.com/collections/womens-cropped-pants and https://ripleyrader.com/collections/dressy-jumpsuits-for-women).

The cropped pants for women come in various styles and lengths with huge demand right now, so Ripley has added the new Ankle Edit pant and the classic wide-leg culottes to keep up with the huge demand. Ripley has designed these so that the high waist of the pants creates a perfect silhouette and you can pair this perfectly with your choice of colour in their short sleeve shirt.

Take a look at their Spring 2020 collection online and select your favourite style and colour with free shipping on all domestic orders over $150.

What’s even better is Ripley’s collection of formal and dressy jumpsuits. Ripley Rader has designed formal jumpsuits that you can dress down or dress up for any event so any one of these beautiful jumpsuits would be ideal for any occasion. The designer continues to expand, and more pieces have joined the collection. Ripley believes that the classic jumpsuit – ‘may never go out of style.’

More information:

The mask challenged brought about a new name for Ripley Radar’s campaign which is called Look Good Do Good and for every mask that you buy on the designer’s website, they will donate two masks to at-risk patients and healthcare workers in need.

If you would like to help those working on the front lines of the Covid-19 crisis, you can purchase a mask today on Ripley Radar’s site at www.ripleyrader.com.
