Why would Taylor drop vocals on Haim’s new rework of ‘Gasoline’?
There’s no denying that Taylor Swift and Haim are big fans of one another. In fact, this isn’t the first time they’ve collaborated, with Haim featuring on Swift’s track “No body, no crime”. And since the release of “Women in Music Pt 3” in June, Taylor herself told Haim that “Gasoline” was her favorite from their colossal “Women in Music Part 3” album. Now with new reworks of songs for their expansion of this album, it was a match made in heaven when they asked Taylor Swift to provide vocals for the track.
Why are fans so excited about the latest release?
Eagle fans noticed that in a recent TikTok video by Haim, a snippet of their song “Gasoline” was playing in the background but with additional harmonies added in the chorus, and these melodies sounded a lot like Taylor Swift. Fans also noticed the number ‘13’ in the background of another recent Haim Instagram post, which is Taylor’s favorite number and often associated with easter eggs. All of these sneak peaks fuelled rumors and excitement, sending fans wild with anticipation.
