Houston, TX, 9/7/2019: Skillern Firm is excited to announce its newest member: Alexandria Gwyn. She graduated with a Juris Doctorate from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. She was admitted to the State Bar of Louisiana in 2016 and the State Bar of Texas in 2018. Additionally, she is a member of the latter’s Family Law Section as well as the Houston Bar Association.

Even before becoming a Houston divorce lawyer, Alexandria focused on criminal matters and family law. She was active in the service fraternity Phi Alpha Delta and served as its philanthropy chair. During this time, she earned several service awards. Additionally, Alexandria worked with the Gillis Long pro bono project, and she was an intern with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). During her time with CASA, she helped the organization’s New Orleans branch create a foster-child database.

On her road toward becoming a family law attorney, Alexandria gained legal experience in the courtroom as a student practitioner with the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s office. That experience, combined with her time working with CASA, inspired her to gravitate toward family law, including divorce and other issues. She moved to Texas and joined a family law firm. There, she worked on legal matters in Washington County, Franklin County, and other areas before coming to Skillern Firm in Houston.

Now that she is with Skillern Firm, Alexandria will provide caring legal representation for her Houston, Texas, clients, whether they are dealing with divorce or another spouse- or child-related issue.
